Há momentos de êxtase difíceis de explicar, por mais que nos preparemos para eles. E depois fica-se neste impasse de não conseguir encontrar o modo de expressão adequado e de haver uma qualquer força a empurrar-nos para a frente do palco para fazermos uma macaquice qualquer. Algo que mostre que o momento é especial e que acabámos de testemunhar algo único.
Às vezes é possível achar essa forma de expressão numa frase, numa cena de um filme ou numa passagem de um livro. Ou na música, sempre na música. Foi nela que encontrei o conforto melódico e expressivo, uma casa para as emoções do fim da tarde. Assim:

Rufus Wainwright é talvez o maior e mais inspirado artista/autor/intérprete da actualidade. Algo a confirmar nos próximos anos. O espectáculo que recentemente apresentou em Londres baseado num célebre concerto de Judy Garland no Carnegie Hall foi qualquer coisa de especial e é possível que venha a ter edição discográfica. Entretanto, está disponível mais um álbum de originais, Release the Stars. Mantém as orquestrações megalómanas que marcaram Want One e Want Two, para desgosto de críticos e admiradores da fase inicial da carreira de Rufus. Como fã incondicional dos dois Wants, gostei de Release the Stars. Mais, ainda não me cansei de o ouvir. Sempre inspirado e acutilante é frequentemente necessário prestar atenção ao detalhe. Momento mais sublime, Going to a Town, em escuta na box.
